Our School > Prospective Teachers

Employment

The Bellwether School offers its staff the opportunity to work in a creative, collegial, and collaborative atmosphere. We believe we are a 'bellwether', an indicator of future trends, in education and we are leading by example among schools that value relationships, whole-child learning, and holistic principles. We do not have any current openings at this time.

The Bellwether School is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital/civil union status, ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, or disability as defined and required by state and federal laws.

Come to Observe

Teaching is an art form. Teachers depend on training, development and reflection to enhance their craft. Because we recognize the value in observing classrooms, we invite both current and future teachers to come observe Bellwether in action. Holistic Education Initiative

Last year marked the kick-off of the Holistic Education Initiative by which we hope to bring the values and benefits of holistic education to students in all school settings. We believe this initiative can make the largest impact at the ground level - with today's educators.

Funding from the HEI will support holistic educators in engaging the whole child, celebrating interconnectedness, knowing themselves and being fully present, understanding there are many ways of learning and knowing, and reflecting on their practice. Teachers are invited to apply for small grants to be used to deepen their craft and to bring holistic values and practices in to their classrooms.
