Employment Opportunities for 2010-11 at The Bellwether School

We are currently hiring for the following positions:

Afternoon Program Teacher - Afternoon Teachers provide care, supervise outdoor time, engage children in playing and exploring and create a safe environment for Bellwether students after school hours. We are seekin an Afternoon Teacher to work Monday through Friday from 2:00-5:30.

This job requires that teachers create a safe and predictable environment where the Bellwether philosophy of learning and working with children is upheld. Teachers in the Afternoon program transition children from the end of the school day to our play yard and supervise outside time. Afternoon teachers then transition children inside serve snack and provide indoor activities for about 1.5 hours. Children are picked up by their grown-ups throughout the afternoon. Teachers assist children to clean up as they depart as well as at the end of the program. From 5:15-5:30, teachers return supplies to their place of origin and clean up the classrooms.

Position begins September 1. Compensation = $11.00/hour
